Schengen Calculator Changelog

Track the evolution and improvements of our Schengen stay calculator

April 23, 2025 Release

  • Added the ability to see the number of days for each trip directly in the interface, making it easier to track stay durations.

April 18, 2025 Release

  • Single-day trips were invisible in the timeline. This made it difficult visualise 1-day trips. Now fixed.

March 2, 2025 Release

  • Fixed critical "Undefined array key 91" error affecting travelers with large gaps between trips

    🐛 Bug Fix Details

Our tests revealed the calculator crashed when trying to process these specific travel dates:

    • Trip 1: October 10, 2024 to January 7, 2025 (90 days)
    • Trip 2: April 8, 2025 to April 8, 2025 (1 day)

    🔧 Issue Resolved

This bug specifically affected travel plans with:

    • A gap of 90+ days between travel periods
    • Trips spanning different calendar years
    • Single-day stays following longer stays

    💡 Important Note

If you previously encountered an "Undefined array key" error when planning trips with large gaps between them, please try again - your calculations should now work correctly.

December 21, 2024 Release

  • Initial release of the Schengen Calculator

    Key Features

    The initial release includes:

    • Support for tracking multiple trips (up to 10).
    • Visual timeline for stay periods.
    • Automatic calculation of 90/180 day rule compliance.
    • Real-time validation of travel dates.

    How It Works

The calculator uses a rolling window calculation to determine your allowed stay:

    1. Enter your travel dates.
    2. The system calculates all possible 180-day windows.
    3. For each window, it checks if you've stayed more than 90 days.
    4. Results are displayed in a timeline graph.
