🐛 Bug Fix Version 1.1 - June 3, 2026
We've fixed a critical "Undefined array key 91" error that affected travelers planning trips with significant gaps between travel periods:
🔧 Issue Resolved
Our tests revealed the calculator crashed when trying to process these specific travel dates:
- Trip 1: October 10, 2024 to January 7, 2025 (90 days)
- Trip 2: April 8, 2025 to April 8, 2025 (1 day)
This bug specifically affected travel plans with:
- A gap of 90+ days between travel periods
- Trips spanning different calendar years
- Single-day stays following longer stays
Important: If you previously encountered an "Undefined array key" error when planning trips with large gaps between them, please try again - your calculations should now work correctly.
Schengen Visa Calculator FAQs
Can I Track Multiple Schengen Visits at Once?
Yes, you can. The Schengen Visa Calculator allows you to track up to 10 trips at a time. If you're travelling to the Schengen Area more than once within a 180-day period, this tool helps keep track of your total days so you don't exceed the limit.
Each time you enter a new trip, the calculator adds up the days spent within the rolling 180-day window. This is useful if you have multiple short trips and need to know how many days you have left before reaching the 90-day limit.
Tip: If you're unsure whether your planned trips comply with the rules, enter them into the calculator, and it will work it out for you.
Does This Cover Multiple Windows?
Yes, the calculator automatically groups your stays into windows based on the dates you enter. It follows the 90/180-day rule, which means:
- The Schengen regulations permit visitors to remain in the Schengen territory for a maximum of 90 days during any 180-day timeframe.
- The calculator checks your travel history and shows how your days are distributed across different 180-day periods.
This is useful for travellers who enter and exit the Schengen Zone frequently, as it helps avoid mistakes in calculating remaining days.
📌 Example:
- If you stayed in France from 1st Jan to 30th Jan (30 days) and then in Spain from 1st March to 30th March (30 days), the calculator will track these separately but still count towards your 90-day limit within the same 180-day window.
- If you plan a new trip in June, the calculator will check whether you still have enough days left under the rolling 180-day period.
Tip: Check overlapping travel periods carefully to avoid exceeding the limit.
How Are Days Calculated?
The calculator counts calendar days, not hours. This means:
- Every day you are inside the Schengen Zone counts as a full day, regardless of the time you enter or leave.
- If you enter and exit on the same day, it still counts as one full day.
📌 Examples:
- ✅ Enter on 1st Jan at 11:55 PM and leave on 2nd Jan at 12:05 AM → 2 days counted.
- ✅ Enter on 1st Jan at 8:00 AM and leave on 1st Jan at 11:00 PM → 1 day counted.
- ✅ Enter on 1st Jan and leave on 30th Jan → 30 days counted.
Tip: Plan your travel carefully, especially if you are making multiple short visits, as every partial day counts as a full day towards your 90-day limit.
Who Needs a Schengen Visa?
Not everyone needs a Schengen visa. It depends on your nationality and the purpose of your trip.
To find out if you need a visa, check the official list of countries that require a Schengen visa here:
➡️ Schengen Visa Policy – European CommissionDon't You Track the Country I Stayed In?
No, the calculator only tracks the dates of your stays, not the specific countries you visited.
This is because the 90/180-day rule applies to the entire Schengen Area as a whole, not individual countries. Once you enter any Schengen country, your stay counts towards the overall 90-day limit, regardless of whether you move between different Schengen states.
Tip: If you need to track which countries you visited for personal records or visa applications, consider keeping a separate log alongside your Schengen Visa Calculator results.
